Fairy tales for children: The Town Musicians of Bremen (Brothers Grimm's fairy tale)

This amusing story by the Brothers Grimm is about four farm animals who are convinced they can earn a good living as musicians. Indeed they do, but it isn’t really the sweetness of their barking, braying, mewing, and cockle-doodle-doing, that earns them their supper – it’s more the terror of the sound they make! Fairy tales for children: The Cat and the Mouse in Partnership (Brothers Grimm's fairy tale)

If you have ever been tempted to be greedy, you will have just a little sympathy with the cunning cat of this story, even though she is certainly bad. Every time she thinks about being naughty, she persuades herself with a little excuse that rings true to life. A warning: this tale of old enemies doing their best to be friends is full of charm right up until the end, which is rather sudden and realistic. If you enjoyed my video please SUBSCRIBE and SHARE . Fairy tales for childrem: The Fourth Voyage of Sinbad

The story is rather dark and scary in parts, it’s not a tale for more sensitive listeners. It’s the central story of the Seven Voyages of Sinbad. It’s the most profound, and the one that casts the most doubt on the good character of its hero, the wealthy merchant Sinbad. If you don’t mind a plot that deals with death and an underground tomb, then listen on, because it is a fascinating tale. If you enjoyed my video please SUBSCRIBE and SHARE . Fairy tales for children: 1001 nights (The Arabian nights)

The main frame story concerns Shahryar, whom the narrator calls a "Sasanian king" ruling in "India and China". He is shocked to discover that his brother's wife is unfaithful; discovering his own wife's infidelity has been even more flagrant, he has her executed: but in his bitterness and grief decides that all women are the same. Shahryar begins to marry a succession of virgins only to execute each one the next morning, before she has a chance to dishonour him. Eventually the vizier, whose duty it is to provide them, cannot find any more virgins. Scheherazade, the vizier's daughter, offers herself as the next bride and her father reluctantly agrees. On the night of their marriage, Scheherazade begins to tell the king a tale, but does not end it. The king, curious about how the story ends, is thus forced to postpone her execution in order to hear the conclusion. The next night, as soon as she finishes the tale, she begins (and only begins) a new one, and the king, eager to hear the conclusion, postpones her execution once again. So it goes on for 1,001 nights. If you enjoyed my video please SUBSCRIBE and SHARE . That helps me a lot and encourage me to upload more videos
